Álvaro Hernández Felix
Was born in 1979 in Mexico City, studied architecture at the Universidad Anahuac. Founding partner of ROW Architects in 2005. Partner and design director of Inmobiliaria del Sur (INMOSUR) since 2003. First prize at the National Competition of social housing organized by CANADEVI, 2001. Participation with Leeser Architects on the competition for the design of the new Library of Mexico, Jose Vasconcelos. In 2007 he founds All Architectural Alliance along with Gaeta + Springall Arquitectos and Inmobiliaria del Sur, focusing on projects on the Middle East and participates on a mission visiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Kuwait.
Nadia Hernández Felix
Was born in 1983 in Mexico City. Studied a Fine Arts course at Lorenzo de’ Medici School in Florence Italy in 2002. Studied architecture at the Universidad Anahuac. Participated at the XXII Alberto J. Pani Competition in 2006. Showcase Design course at CENTRO in 2008. Volunteer at DIF, a national welfare institution depending from the presidency of Mexico, since 2007. She is a partner at ROW Studio since 2006.
Alfonso Maldonado Ochoa
Was born in 1980 in Mexico City, studied architecture at the Universidad Anahuac. Content Director of Cuarta Pared magazine 2004-2008. Is a member of the editorial board of mArt Selection of Emerging Artists for Collectors since 2006. Planning and Projects Director of böt / Alta Tecnología en Estacionamientos since 2003. Founding Partner of ROW Architects and URBIA Desarrollo Inmobiliario. He won the second place on the competition for the Profuturo GNP Scholarship to Harvard on 2005.First prize at the National Competition of Social Housing organized by CANADEVI, 2001. ROW Studio is an architecture and design firm founded by Álvaro Hernández Felix and Alfonso Maldonado Ochoa in 2005. Its name derives from the term used in economy to refer to global phenomena (ROW: Rest of the World), as a critical standpoint against the clichés of Mexican architecture and the need to generate an international discourse both in processes and proposals departing from a multidisciplinary approach. At the same time addresses the need of expanding the field study and influence from architecture to other disciplines such as sociology, psychology, economy, marketing, etc.
