About me

Lennart Wiechell is a creative visionary, but combines this with a love of shaping reality. While studying at the Technical University of Braunschweig he participated in work projects in Italy and as a research assistant for Prof. Meinhard von Gerkan. Having graduated, he subsequently spent seven years working for Graft in Berlin. This collaboration with Graft resulted in him expanding and managing the Berlin studio, as well as designing and implementing various hotel, spa, wellness, and residential projects. In 2007 his path led him to Schmidhuber + Partner in Munich. As a partner in the company of 50 architects and interior designers he now works on architecture for temporary spaces, including for clients such as Audi, O2, and Lamborghini.
He is currently responsible for the architecture of the German Pavilion at Expo 2010 in Shanghai. The Federal Ministry of Economics project headed by Koelnmesse International is being implemented by Consortium German Pavilion Shanghai GbR consisting of Schmidhuber + Kaindl GmbH, Munich (architecture and general planning), Milla und Partner GmbH, Stuttgart (exhibition and media design) and NUESSLI (Germany) GmbH (construction and project management).
