Axel Schaefer, born in the town of Brandenburg an der Havel, studied architecture in Berlin and gained experience in leading, international offices. In 2005 he founded his own company, BERLINRODEO.

Axel Schaefer deliberately choose the name BERLINRODEO. Berlin, this city with its distinctive charm and its individual character, is HIS city. One can describe Berlin best with words like directness, tolerance, antagonism or roughness. But the city also epitomizes home, consistency, security, and creativity. “Rodeo” suggests the stylised antagonism between a bucking horse and cowboy. It is unruly ferocity, potency and freedom embodied by the horse versus the bravery, skills and discipline represented by the cowboy. This struggle is always based on respect and humility vis-à-vis Nature. The combination of both terms defines the local, creative, emotional and spiritual home of Axel Schäfer.
